What’s the best way to understand all the cool features I can get with Maxxo?
We’ve created a series of short videos available once you’ve downloaded the Maxxo application. These awesome tutorials should answer most of your questions about how to use Maxxo and what unique features you can expect. We’ve even cut the videos into short chapters, so it’s not like you have to wait around watching them all in order to get the quick answers you need.

How do I share files with friends and colleagues?
Maxxo not only makes it easy to import contacts, but unlike the other file-sharing software out there, we don’t generate URL links of your files. With Maxxo, it really is as easy as drag and drop: click on the file, drag it to your selected contact(s), and rest assured that the most recent version of your file will instantly start downloading for your friends and colleagues.
-
Do my friends and colleagues have to open their own Maxxo accounts to receive files that I send?
Yes, they do. Your contacts will be sent an invite to join Maxxo . Your contacts will then simply be prompted to accept the file(s) you send and the data will start downloading for them.

Is there a way to share my documents publically with Maxxo – to publish them to a website, my Facebook or Twitter page?
Yes, yes there is. Our API – in laymen’s terms, our code – makes it easy for Maxxo to communicate with other programs. Go for it: go public. Sharing is caring.
-
How do I sync files between computers and/or devices?
Syncing files between computers is a cinch: just click the “sync” button at the top of the Maxxo application and all your selected computers will soon have the updated version of your file library. From that point on, your folder syncs automatically – though you can always manage which devices you sync between. Right now Maxxo is available for Windows, Mac and Linux – and we’re hard at work developing our mobile apps for iOS and Android. Please check back soon!

How secure is Maxxo?
Maxxo uses industry standard 256- bit SSL encryption to transfer files from your desktop client to our server farm. Your stored files and account information are also fully encrypted. In fact, you’re probably safer by using Maxxo then you are just having the files on your computer! We’re all about respecting user privacy. Even Maxxo employees don’t have access to the contents of your files, except in very rare circumstances when you act in violation of our Acceptable Use policy. As diligent as we are about security, no encryption is perfect; so just let us know if you suspect that your privacy has, in any way, been compromised via an email to: support@maxxo.com

Can I recover older versions of files?
Sorry, no. Later we will offer a recovery service, but not with all of our packages. However, in the event that you decide to stop using Maxxo for awhile, know that we’ll save all your data for 60 days just in case you decide to come back.
